2013 Dodge Charger Review

Imagine our disappointment when a Charger SXT was delivered for us to test, rather than the SRT8 we were expecting. Instead of 470 rip-snorting horsepower and a massive dose of torque from a simply huge 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine, we were left to settle with the base 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. In fact, we were so bummed, we didn’t even drive it for two days.

 I did, and at home neighbors began dropping by to ogle the car. And these are the same folks who are used to seeing all kinds of new cars in my driveway. Friends who stopped by didn’t want to come in the house until they’d spend 15 minutes circling the Charger and gushing over the styling. Unlike the Challenger, this is no retro homage, but rather an update of the basic aggressive shape of the previous model. And it really works.

Dodge Challenger Limo SRT-8 Stretched

While this Dodge Challenger SRT-8 Limo is the first of its kind, it will definitely not be the last when limo manufacturer’s see this. This was built by the limousine company LA Custom Coach, and as stated in the video below, they are already constructing the second version. It was showcased at the Spring Festival in Irvine, California and received more attention than most of the luxury cars that were on display. Specifications show that the Dodge Challenger Limo was stretched 140 inches, while it received two new LED televisions and a full bar inside.

Dodge Demon Roadster concept

The Dodge Demon Roadster concept car, which will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, is a compact, nimble, two-seat rear-wheel drive “roadster with attitude”. The idea of this concept is to create an affordable Dodge sports car which merges the Dodge brand cues of bold design and powerful performance with an open-air “fun-to-drive” attitude. The exterior design is therefore simple and typically Dodge – muscular lines and 19 inch aluminium wheels, the signature Dodge crosshair grille together with headlamps that aim to accentuate the grille to produce a very aggressive look. Peter Lambert, Managing Director of Chrysler Group said: “You might think that American cars always have to be big – but with the Hornet concept and now the Demon Roadster, Dodge has rewritten the rules for cool American car design. The Dodge Demon gives a taste for a potential future roadster that could sit alongside the Caliber and the Nitro and Avenger cars that we will launch later this year.” The concept is powered by a 2.4-litre petrol engine the Dodge Demon is capable of producing 172 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 165 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm.

2013 Dodge grand caravan review

Although its glory days are gone, thanks to smaller SUVs and crossover vehicles, the minivan is still much alive. And Chrysler’s 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan was the top-selling such vehicle in America in 2012.

 Moreover, the base Grand Caravan—the APV (American Value Package) model gets a $1,000 price cut for 2013. That makes it the most affordable 7-passenger vehicle in America.

 Introduced in 1983 as a 1984 model as simply the Dodge Caravan, this minivan met the needs of many baby boomers who were starting families. It has been continually improved to keep up with the times—and to stay ahead of competitors. It soon was joined by the more upscale Chrysler Town & Country, which also is offered for 2013.
